 My
full name is Ketut Sukadana, which means middle son in
Bahasa Indonesia, our national language. Born in 1972,
I have lived all my life on this island.
My horizons are global - I have met, talked with, helped and become friends with people from all over the world. My role is to be a bridge between our beautiful island and the many good people who come here to enjoy what it has to offer.
An important factor is that I have no conflict of interest
- I receive no commissions from any establishment for
anything. So if you want to skip the shops and eat at
the cheapest roadside noodle stand, it's completely fine
with me.
This is because I depend on repeat business - whether
from visitors who return to Bali and hire me again, or
their friends who hire me by recommendation. While it
is possible to get a bit more in the short term by gouging
tourists, I long ago realized that I could build a much
better career by treating my clients fairly, especially
in this day when information spreads so easily.
Unlike many tour operators, I don't base my recommendations
on "kickbacks" from establishments. That's why my
charges are fair and reasonable. My only interest is in
giving you the best trip possible and earning your business
when you return or your friends' business when they come
to Bali.
